Pacific Beach Fine Art Landscape Photography Prints

David Christopher’s Fine Art Photography of Pacific Beach is photography created in line with the vision of the photographer as an artist, using photography as a medium for creative expression, sometimes vast and unending, but other times microscopic. Art is created in the mind, prior to the expression on paper. Being a true artist requires risk and exposure to critique. Many photographers today simply mimic other artists work, merely trying to reproduce or recreate what other photographers have framed and crafted solely from their own vision. Having been a photographer for over two decades, prior to the days of social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram, many of David Christopher’s images are the inspiration for today’s trendy Instagrammers and other landscape photographers who have come afterwards and seen his work, and then wanted to create an image of their own in the same location, different only in current lighting conditions.

David Christopher’s San Diego Fine Art Landscape Photographs typically capture the beauty of nature but can also focus on the man-made features or disturbances of landscapes. For example, Pacific Beach offers both beautiful landscapes and architecture, harmoniously present in what is recognized as the largest sprawling urban park in the nation.

Landscape photography is done for a variety of reasons. Perhaps the most common is to recall a personal observation or experience while in the outdoors, and especially when traveling. Others pursue it particularly as an outdoor lifestyle, to be involved with nature and the elements, some as an escape from the artificial world.

Many of David Christopher’s San Diego Fine Art landscape photographs show little or no human activity and are created in the pursuit of a pure, unsullied depiction of nature, devoid of human influence—instead featuring subjects such as strongly defined land forms, dramatic weather, and soft ambient light. As with most forms of art, the definition of a fine art landscape photograph is broad and may include rural or urban settings, industrial areas like warehouses and train stations, or simply undisturbed nature photography.
